I love your blocks. Is the background grey? (That's what it reads on my monitor). I love that shade--haven't seen it before and it really adds to your blocks.

Thanks ladies. Jan, yes, the background is grey, a dark grey. I am using my small (haha) stash of batik scraps and FQs for these blocks and only controlling my grey background and the green spikes. I am liking it so far, I will need to figure out a way to pull all the colors togther at the end and will do this either in some sashing or diamonds. Too early to tell.
Now the question is what colors should I use on my next block? Red? Yellow? Or...

Candi...so much variety in each block with the batiks. I really like what you've done.
