Thanks for the kind words everyone. My color palette was determined by my dining room, golds, browns and creams. I can't wait to finish the set and decorate the dining table!

here's my October 1 block. I had to take it apart & re-sew 3 times and still didn't manage to get all my points lined up- finally gave up & decided to accept it as it is- I may remake one later- but for now I've moved on to something else. I sure love everyone else's blocks so far this month!

Your hard work shows but I know those centers can be such buggers! I finally started sewing from the middle point and am getting better results. It's easier to get the bulk on the right side of the needle so it doesn't get pushed under it.

There is nothing wrong with your blocks, DHM. Of course, opposites of the color wheel would add touches of color in your decor, but there is nothing wrong with the color of your blocks. Love those warm inviting colors that make one feel welcome and warm and 'at home' comfortable. Many of used blue and oranges together, opposites on the color wheel which makes sense and is colorful and nice. Each depicts a bit of the quilter, just please continue to do it "your way"....as many of the rest of us are doing. Mine is 'almost' ready to post...and it is different.

Cool October Spike #1 with Sample Trio

Morning All . . . Gorgeous blocks girlz ! ! ! ! Lovin' the hexie parade. Here's mine. Looking at the trio, I'm thinking NOT to do the sides & stick with the hexie all around. . . just a thought . . .GP.
