Default 30 Years in the Making

I started this counted cross stitch old western town in 1984 on a car trip from PA to NMex. Finished it in 1998 (by that time I needed a magnifying glass). After a few more years I got it framed and hung in my kitchen. It didn't really look good there, the frame didn't do it justice and it wasn't under glass. So it sat in my sewing room for another 12 years. Every time I saw it I thought it was too much work to be in a corner. Last month I had it framed and this morning I put it up in my bedroom. Looks great in the room and goes especially well with the summer quilt I finished last year.

Beautiful, and it looks perfect where you hung it. I used to do crossstitch but it's been many years, probably the 80's like your piece!

Looks great! All your bed needs now is a counted cross stitch QUILT shop pillow.

Glad you gave that beautiful piece the surroundings that it deserved! The quilt is wonderful, as are the pillows.
