I have one and I just hit it on the top center and it will run again. I only use 4 layers

talked to the Accuquilt rep at the KCRQF and she suggested you slide the mat off once the cutting is done--although there is still static.

the only other time I had it stop mid-cut was when the material accordion folded to the side was too thick and it snagged. Now I make sure that I don't have a huge amount accordion folded to the side, even if it means more waste.
