i wish i could go there (to belgium, that is). i have been to the rose bowl and that was remarkable. you sit up in the uncomfortable wooden bleacher seats and look down on the floats for $85.00 pp, after you park your car in the nearest lot for $65.00. the floats are not to be believed and the next day starting in the morning you get to park your car again and visit the floats up close $$$$$. at that point many of the flowers are starting to faint from the heat, as are you. but they are still gorgeous. it really is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and i'm very glad we did it.
there are volunteers surrounding each float, explaining the flowers and how many and how they attach them and so on. they spray them constntly. the creativity is amazing and every one could be a quilt.
