As for the side effect of drugs, you can't forget the drugs in our food. And they are drugs, even though they make our processed foods taste good, last longer on the shelf, etc. And are very, very cheap for the manufacturers to make such foods for the public.

My sister had some bad problems with her liver, had tests every year. Then every 6 months. Then every 3 months was suggested, and last one came back clean. So of course the DR wanted to know what she'd done different. Nothing except she decided to totally eliminate the artificial sweetener Aspartame from her diet. DR didn't sound surprised, said it had been implicated in Autistic births, MS and lots of other thing. Sister wondered why, if he knew that, didn't he think to mention it?

And Aspartame is losing sales so will change it's name to Amino Sweet. In fact, just now checking on the Internet it says that Aspartame is also implicated in joint pain, among other things!!!

Thanks for all this information. One of my adult daughters has had Arthritis since childhood. I'll send her all this and let her think about it.

I too have had Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis since childhood but have been in remission for the last 18 months. (the first time since I was 16, other than pregnancies, that I have been drug free). If I have another flare up I definately will ask my specialist about this as I hated taking a cocktail of Arava, Methotrexate and Brufen.
Thank you so much for the information.

If you go on the website it talks about helping with ALL auto-immune diseases, and Lupus is definately one of those. The information they give is very interesting. Another place to look at people's results with the Low Dose Naltrexone is at www.ldndatabase.com, where people using it go in and put in their actual experiences on a table format. There is also a video there of a doctor explaining how the LDN works.

Also do a google on Low Dose Naltrexone Study and you'll see the actual medical trials/studies that have been done and are being done on this drug. It is really quite amazing the wide range of diseases this drug can have a good effect on.

Also, remember...it's not a cure, just another way to manage symptoms until a cure is found.

I am glad to hear of your good luck with it, too. So far I am the only person I know using it...lots of others on the'net, of course, but here in town, I seem to be the only one. I've told tons of people about it, and hope some of them can get it too. Seems ridiculous that it's so hard to get.

Update: We now have 2 more doctors in Bakersfield who will be prescribing this for their patients who will benefit by it.

If you live in the area and want to know the information, PM me and I'll give it to you.

Good health!! Janice
