If you scroll up a little in this thread, you should see the link I provided for downloading Chrome. After it is downloaded, you have an icon you can click on to use Chrome. You don't have to delete your icon for IE if you don't want to. The Chrome icon is a circle with 3 outer colors -- very easy to spot quickly.

I am NOW using Firefox. Since I am still on XP, I made the final jump when I heard this latest news regarding IE. Google collects too much info and I like Firefox since it is VERY similar to IE.

Glad you mentioned this. The IE problem may or may not be part of your problem. Switch to a Chrome or Firefox browser and see if hotmail works or not.
