On the same premise as Granny 59 using her rotary cutter to cut TP rolls for her grandson, I wonder how many have noticed that Scott has decreased the width of their rolls by about 1/2 inch? When I recently bought my newest supply (on sale, of course) and loaded the dispenser, something looked strange .... sure enough, the new rolls are shorter! They still contain 1000 sheets, but not-as-wide 1000 sheets! :lol: :lol: :lol:

One pack we bought, I think it was a 9 pack they were shorter. This last time we got a 4 pack and they were the long length. They could have been an old pack as it was at Food Lion.

it's happening with everything. tissues are smaller TP is smaller and in many cases shorter we have gone from 250 per roll to 200 per roll. cadburies have changed their packaging and now the blocks are a little smaller. It is very dissapointing when the prices for everything is going up and the product is getting smaller.

Ours are 180 sheets, 10cm x 11cm. Much smaller and we will be in trouble!

I think we had this discussion about 3 months ago how everything was getting smaller. Even my lap! LOL Yes, the TP has gotten smaller and the price has gone up. I guess we have to pay for the technicians that changed the settings on the machines.

Yep, smaller. Everything is. Chocolate chips...11 oz. now. Yet the prices keepgoing up and up. Half gallon ice cream??? One and half quarts now. Wondr if these companies workers cut back on their production time what would happen. Would that not be the fair thing to do???

Just bought a large pack of Scott TP at Costco and the hole in the cardboard tube is wider--the hole is bigger so you're getting less tissue on the roll.

I noticed that too, Jan, but the package still says 1000 sheets, so somehow they're making it more compact while still giving us 1000 sheets. The 1000 sheet thing is they advertising gimmick so I doubt that they would change that.

How many people have REALLY counted to make sure they really have 1000 sheets??? I'd noticed -- I looked at the sq. inches or feet in paper products...also make sure they're 2-ply versus 1-ply
