Have to admit that I am a Detroit Tiger fan, even though they haven't done too well against the Yankees the last couple of days.
As a kid, I can remember listening to the Tiger games on radio when Harry Heilman was the annoouncer.

Nope...not a fan of any sports here. They pay the players way too much money for losing,,,they charge way too much money for tickets...food,,,,souveniers,,,etc. Ever since these money grabbing players started charging little kids to take pictures with them I have banned all sports from my life.....But DH is a semi Indians fan,,,and mostly Cleve. Browns Fan. Do I sound bitter? LOL I Hate Sports.

I didn't see the St. Louis Cardinal's mentioned. Great team--some cool guys and great stadium to go too.
Been a Cards fan for numerous decades. I use to watch with my husband and after we moved from St. Louis to other places south, we still watched them. My 85yr old Mother still watches and gets quite vocal during the games. That is a hoot to watch.

I was helping my mom and dad move and I found a cookbook that was done by the wives of the Detroit Tigers. The book was written in 1968, when I was about 11 years old. It was so fun looking at the recipes. Every year my mom still makes Mickey Lolich cookies!
Do you remember Mark "The Bird" Fidrich? I now live in Philly, but my best memories are of the Tigers!!

Me? I'm an avid Red Sox fan! I've been to Fenway Park many times and I get lots of hand quilting done while watching the games on TV. Would love to connect with other baseball fans out there.
My husband is. I'm not that impressed but I do like the Braves.
