    I'm just looking for a basic pattern for a cover for my basic machine...just something so I can keep the cat fur out of it!

    http://www.favecrafts.com has a bunch of free pattern for sewing machine covers as well as a bunch of other stuff. I get the newsletter, the directions are usually pretty good.
