We left WV on the 4th of this month and got back last night at midnight. Mighty long trip and the baby of the 7 grandchildren had just about had it by the time we came home. He was so good on the way out, but for three weeks, sitting in a car seat for hours made him a tad crabby. I had a wonderful time. Best friend set up a pot-luck with all of my old friends and co-workers and all of them came, even some who had moved to another town in CO. I so enjoyed seeing them all again, as we always stayed in touch and got together when we could. But moving away from there was a hard thing, leaving all those friends. I had forgotten just how awesome the mountains in CO are, even having lived there for 30 yrs. Now, I am tired and just glad to be home again. Just caught up on todays newest.

No matter how long you're gone, there's no place like home.
How I'd love to be wondering up that same old mountain top near
where I was born and raised, Milton WV. Been gone for several life times, but you can take the girl away from the hills but you can't take the hills out of her heart.

Did you take a lot of pictures? And do be sure to label them, I wanted to give my kids some old family pictures and could not remember who was who, and now they will probably be tossed when I hang up my scissors for the last time.

Ask the kids to tell what they remembered from this trip, write it down for them and add it to pictures so they will treasure the memories for a life time.

Traveling with little ones can be hard for all, glad you made it back okay and are almost ready to sew sew again.
