I don't know about kitty cat's,..... But I have a 4 year old 'PUG" that still sucks on his toy bunny when he is sleeping. When he was 7 weeks old I would watch him sleep and he was doing the sucking motion. I always thought we picked him up too soon from the breeder, or his brother and sisters got a little more milk than he did from mommy.

My daughter's kitty was abandoned by mom at a couple weeks and fed by eyedropper by owner until we scooped her up at 6-8 weeks. To the day she died, she kneaded and sucked on the comforter on my daughter's bed, very blissfully. When my daughter was too old for a Sesame St comforter, we kept it out in the playroom for Cuddles to enjoy.
Thanks be, she never sucked on necks or ears or other interesting appendages because this cat lived THIRTEEN (blanket-sucking) YEARS!!

Very common, especially with Siamese types. My two adopted orphaned boys "smurggled" for about a year...and if their original fleece bed comes out, they both go into their old smurggling ways. Google "smurgling" and see what you find. It is a hoot!

I got my Cici around the time she was weaned from her mommy. Cici would lay across my chest & with her teeth right against my earlobe. It was a little un-nerving because I wasn't sure if she would suckle or nibble.

    (she didn't do either)

PS - this is my Cici.

We have a cat, named her Chewey. We had her since she was born. Whenever I would hold her, she would chew/suck on my shirt, nightgown or whatever I was wearing. Vet asked what her name was and dh told her. She asked why we named her that, dh said because she would always chew on whatever I was wearing. Vet told dh that she was taken away from her mother too soon. Dh told the vet that we still had the mother and none of the other kitties did it. She still does it, and she is 4 years old.

We got a little kitten, Mia, very recently as well. She wasn't fully weaned either and likes to snuggle up by my neck and "knead" it before she falls asleep. She is probably 8 weeks old now and is eating and drinking very well. In the evening she goes to my recliner and waits for me to rock and cuddle her.
