I hate that at some showers they make you address your own "thank you" note. Very rude. Very lazy of them to ask.

It seems like a good plan to me, that way the address is sure to be correct.

I apparently attended the shower . The invitation made it to my mailbox.

At one recent BSHR all the ice cubes for the drinks had a little plastic baby ( maybe about 3/4" big) in them and when your baby melted through the ice you would yell "My water Broke" and you received a door prize.

Baskets at tables with an assortment of fabric marker paints and stacks of plain white bibs. We were encouraged to draw pictures or write a saying or sign your name on the bibs. They were mostly for keepsakes rather than to be used.
peace

EDIT: This might be old but we also had a clothsline and hung all kinds of baby stuff on it.

My daughter really like the book instead of a card idea. Her shower is June 21 and the quilt isn't near finished yet.
