Last night my sweet daughter Jessica graduated from high school. I have home schooled her all her life. Now as with her three older siblings it's time to see if I did my job. It's a little hard giving up the job I've loved so much for the last 20 years. At least I have one more to go. In three years she will graduate and then I will retire from teaching. A chapter of my life will close and God will open a new door for me. I will miss homeschooling. :|

She is a beautiful young lady. You must be a proud mama! Congrats to you and her on graduation.

Congratulations! Life has its seasons... and it sure is hard to watch time pass by. My oldest will be heading off to college in the fall.

It sure is hard to leave the first one at college freshman year. My DH and I cried half the way home, but didn't let our daughter see us being upset. Have to remember how excited they are to be in college, and trust that you raised them right. Good luck!

#1 son is taking his car to college - two states away... we don't know whether we're supposed to escort him to college, help him carry in his stuff and then leave him and his car there... or if we should just help him pack his car and say our goodbyes at home.

Uncharted territory for us all...

What to do??

I understand. I homeschooled my kids, too. The last one graduated in 2004. But it was amazing how fast I learned to fill the time. :)

I can already hear God saying, "Well done my faithful servant". YOU are an awesome mother.
