This is a wonderful story and I think we should all take time with the blue roses of the world.

My DGS is 9 and is emotionally delayed. I have actually had people ask in front of him if he "is retarded". I reply with a smile, "No more than you are!" If they only knew what a blessing they were missing out on. He is definitely a "blue rose".

Some people are so thoughtless. I am a cashier at WalMart in a town close by. I always go out of my way to speak to the Blue Roses, even if they are not in my line. Before
long, the Mothers are coming to my line because they see that I care.
