I recently bought the Bounce softener you attach to the wall of your dryer. Got it free and thought it would be okay to try it out. Thought how nice for regular loads of clothes and for washing new fabric for quilting. Well, after a few loads it fell off its sticky back holder and broke into pieces making a horrible mess in the dryer and it took a long time to take the sticky back off and clean the interior of the dryer. I had steam blowing out my ears I was so mad.

Wow, I've been using mine for months and months with no problem at all (actually I find it very convenient and hassle free). Sorry you had that happen.

definitely call Bounce's toll free number and report it, you will probably get a bunch of coupons for free products.

Oh, I really like them. I haven't had any problem with it falling. I still have the original holder stuck in the dryer from a year ago. I just refill it with a new bar. I use the bigger 4 month size, maybe it has more adhesive surface. The instructions have specific place to put the bar in the dryer. That may make a difference too.

I hope you contacted the manufacturer. And maybe even your local TV station. They sometimes have complaint programs.

I've used them too and loved them. Never had a problem. Probably just a fluke.

I'm working on my second one. The first one worked fine until my daughter in law pulled the holder off thinking the kids had stuck it in there. Last night the new one fell off like you said--thank God it didn't break up into pieces--I would have had steam too!!

As far as I am concerned all Bounce products are dangerous!! Their perfume is one of many I'm allergic to. My husband can't use any fabric softener on his socks. Plus I think fabric softener on towels is gross.

I found the unscented bars and bought all there were on the shelf. Glad I did, I haven't seen them since. I have twelve, 4 month bars, enough to last 4 or more years. The bar seems to soften without being over softened even with small loads.

I can't stand the smell of Bounce, the only reason I get the sheets is to spread around the attic to keep mice away. Supposedly mice hate the smell too.
