Brother Embroidery Machine

Does anyone have a Brother's embroidery machine? How is it and do you like it. What size monograms can you do on it? What is the name/number. Thank you. I do not now have an embroidery machine. Yolanda Wood River

I have the Janome 350e which is "related" to Brother.
It comes with 2 hoops----4x4 and 5x7. And you can also buy a Giga hoop for it.
It is very user friendly to use. I was embroidering within 1/2hr of opening the box. It uses a memory stick to transfer designs from the computer to the machine.
I hope this helps.

I just got a Brother PE 770 a few months ago and love it! It is my first embroidery machine and is an embroidery only as I have a Janome sewing machine already. I have a 4x4 and 5x7 hoop and it has been pretty easy to learn so far. I bought mine on Amazon after doing some research. Good luck!!

Hi I have a brother 1500 embroidery machine and I love it, not sure of the hoop size but the two that came with it are large and extra large. It doesn't have a usb port which is a pity but you can connect it to a computer and download lots of free/ cheap designs.

I have the Janome 350E and I have to agree that it is very user friendly, has 3 built in fonts. I did buy an external hard drive to use to read my cd's when I use them. I also have a flash drive but wanted to be able to use items that I bought in cd form. I love it, have done many, many dishtowels, table runners, quilt labels, and quilt blocks. it was money well invested. It has a thread cutter and low bobbin warning beep that will also tell you on the screen

I have the lowly Brother SE-350 Sewing / emb combo..
Very easy to use.
coems with a variety of built in fonts/designs
LOTS of free designs available ( mine uses .PES)
Get the biggest hoop u can afford ( mine has only a 4x4)
( but I can't complain,,, it was a gift)
I'd love to have a color display ( mine is black and white)
I'd love to have a USB port. ( mine only has the memory card slot)
I've done everything from teatowels to bath towels and quilts with it.... I find it is very versatile...

I've had 3 Brother embroidery machines, a PE 150, 8500D and now an Innovis 4000D. I have loved them all.
I also have a Bernina Bernette Deco 600 a 650 and I really like them as well.
The Innovis is really high end. But to be honest, if I had it to do all over again, I would not buy a combo embroidery/sewing machine. I would buy a machine that does embroidery only. I never sewed on my 8500 and I will never sew on my 4000. It's sits on a high dresser for easier accessibility and that's it's dedicated space, it's too heavy and too large to move and I embroider on practically everything I do so there's rarely "free time" for sewing on it anyway.
