I bought one and have never used it, When it was time to get instructions I was in hospital and was not able to attend the class and there has not been another given. I have had my machine for 2 years. Someday I will take the time to figure it out. Too busy quilting right now.

I have one and really like it - I have tension set at the 00 it came with - I did have a problem sometimes with the threading of the top thread - right at the take-up lever there was a microscopic piece of plastic making it a little difficult to get the thread seated properly. Once I started threading that part backwards (from the needle back up through the machine, (you can see the thread drop properly through that little window in front of the take-up lever), I haven't had any problem. I probably could file it off but I am concerned with getting the dust into the machine, so I just learned to do it that way.

As for quilting - yes, there are a lot of beautiful designs out there as well as being able to actually quilt blocks on embroidery machines - it is getting more and more popular. :-)

I just purchased one and am having the same problem. I was in a class at the quilt shop a couple of days ago and was told that I would have to bring it in to have it recalibrated. I was also told that adjusting the tension in the display would simply reset each time the machine was turned off. I am hesitant to believe this but have not had a chance to play with it. I am just glad to know that I am not the only one and it isn't a loose screw between the seat and the fabric. (me) dhrladyracer
