Susie.... what a great job! An inspiration to those who are considering doing the same! You rock girl!
Did you sand or do any prep work before you used the gel stain?
Tearing wall paper off is the pits... but use a scoring tool, and then spray with water and a little fabric softener. Let it set a few minutes and it should come off easier! Best of Luck! Show us another pic when you get further along!

All I did was wash them down with murphy's soap. Can't stand the stuff but it works great on all woodwork. As for the paper, getting the tools is the least of my problem. I was told that if I didn't use sizing before putting paper up, it's not coming down any time soon. Well I didn't. So I think I'll get the kids in on this one. My son (15) loves to destroy and put things back together so he's a go! My daughter (20) said "MY FINGERNAILS" hahaha! She's my funny one! Will tackle this in a couple weeks. But will keep you posted. Need to quilt!

Your cabinets look great! Did you paint or stain them. If you painted, how many coats did you use?
If you stained, did you put a polyurethene on them.
I need to do mine and have been thinking about doing it for a couple of years. The wood is real nice, but the finish is all scratched up.
Give us more details. It looks very professional!!:) :)
