I live in Washington and have very dry eyes. Not the kind that visine can fix. My eyes do not produce enough oil. There is a eye drop that is called Soothe. When you put it in your eyes it is milky then clears. Ask for it at your local pharmacy, they can show you the over the counter brands. Made a huge difference for me.

can't run a humidifier because causes mold...allergies

Are you allergic to molds? A lot of rain can produce mold and it can affect the eye. Usually the sinus but it can be the eyes too.
I don't see any mold in apt. though.
