Can anyone recommend a good manual can opener?

I highly recommend a SWING-A-WAY. I don't know the mfg. number, I have the one with white handles, had it for 15 or more years, works as good as when new, hand-held and glides really easy. Best can opener I have ever had and much prefer it to an electric one, stores in my utensil drawer.

Mine is by FArberware. I probably paid around $10.00 for it, maybe. It isn't the smooth edge but will take the top off. As soon as I'm done with it, I get it soaped up and run a scrub brush around it. A quick way to dry it thoroughly is take a paper towel and use the can opener on it as you would to open it. This prevents it from accumulating any rust on it. You will be able to tell also if you have it cleaned well. So many people do not think about cleaning their can openers.
