you should be able to put the rubber or felt sticker things on the little feet.. the felt ones are usually green circles.

or if you have anything around the house, you can just cut and glue to the bottom legs/pegs. maybe ever flannel would work!

i need a new crockpot..my SIL bought a hamilton beach..there is one on the market now, that has a locking lid..so if you take it to a function, it won't spill,or the lid will stay on!

I have the stuff to keep my sewing machine pedal from moving, but wondering if it'd be safe. Many posters are saying slow cookers are way hotter than they used to be & the one I returned surely was! If this one is like that, I'll give up on SCs.

Yes, but the new ones are called slow cookers. Crock Pot was a trademarked name. I still have my old crock pot and use it to make Boston Brown Bread. It is delicious. But, as said by someone else I only use my slow cookers when I am home. I too make turkey breasts, even country style spare ribs. It is wonderful to come upstairs from sewing and know my dinner is ready.

Might be better to use one of the silicone baking sheets under the slow cooker. It can handle higher temperatures instead of felt or plastic waffle material. Just a thought.

What about the stuff rubber maid makes....It's in with the contact paper I think. I can't think of the name, but it's for making things non-slick....Comes on a roll and has tiny holes in it....

Last year I researched for a new Crockpot. I found that some crockpots elements heat so fast on the high they crack the pot when you put a cold (from refrig)meat in the bottom of it. They recommended to slice a onion or potato and sit that on the bottom then put the meat (or whatever) on that slice. Then there isn't the big tempture difference. When I read that even the high end ones were doing it. I now do this. I did buy a new crockpot. My son wanted it for Xmas and liked it so much Santa got me one too.
