How many times have you not been able to use a parking space because a lazy person simply left the cart in the parking lot.
I don’t see that many carts left around in shopping centers. Maybe if I did I’d view this differently. I suppose one way or another they must pass on the cost of paying someone to bring them back in. This way give shoppers an option.

There are a couple stores that put the tall poles on the carts so they don’t fit out the door. Makes it challenging with a full cart and a car parked far away especially for someone shopping alone or if they have a hard time carrying anything heavy.

Yes, and we girls went in groups and held the door for each other.
llittle kids would crawl under the door.

I remember this. Now that's a trip down memory lane.

Yep we have that too. Sometimes I'm lucky and find one outside so miss the payment.

At the JoAnn stores that charge to use the shopping cart -

Do you get your quarter back when you return the cart to where you got it?

If so, I wouldn't mind - as long as I had a quarter with me.

If I didn't get my quarter back, I would mind - a lot.
