The pic with the book is the day I got her just over a month ago. Now, she has a lot of silver/grey in her. My daughter said she looked it up on the net and they're called Smoke.

My kitten was yellow and white.. he is now orange but is getting gray hair mixed in on his tail and back......I saw part of the litter and there were gray and white and a gray tiger as well as 2 yellow..... I guess when they are mixed they sure are lol
