Default Check Washing/Safety Pens

I just wanted to thank the folks who mentioned gel pens cannot be washed.

I am going to try to get my sister-in-law and husband, who both write checks, to change over. My sister-in-law, in particular, is pretty set in her ways. Explaining to her that check shing is a thing to be aware of will probably make her a nervous wreck. I don't know. Maybe I won't even mention it, now that I'm thinking about it. It's a conundrum!

Anyhow, thanks for letting me know about them. It might help someone else, too.

Happy Thanksgiving to those who celebrate. Just the 2 of us here today, but we decided at the last minute to take dessert to my sister-in-law. She wouldn't come here, even though my husband would go get her.

I had a pie pumpkin and don't know why I didn't think to cook it yesterday, so had to do that before making the pie this morning. Oops! It was okay, I made the crusts and put them in the refrigerator, and prepped the apple pie, while the pumpkin baked. Many years ago, I steamed a pumpkin and mashed it as I didn't have a food processor. This time I baked it, and the food processor made things a lot easier. Whether it will taste any different than from what comes from a can remains to be seen.
