    Good golly Miss Molly, those are delightful!
    But the hearts ones are surely too pretty to just designate for Christmas!

    Your ornaments are beautiful! Where did you get the pattern for the ones in the 5th photo? They look like they are machine embroidered, I'd love to make them.

    Yes, they are machine embroidered and I bought these designs from Embroidery Library
    ( http://www.emblibrary.com/EL/Default.aspx ) "A Dash of Christmas Damask Design Pack - Sm " & "Filigree Ornaments in the Hoop X10103, X10104, X10105,X10106, X10107 & x10108." I didn't follow their instructions but opted to do them my way. The Damask designs I embroidered onto white felt, cut a backing for them and blanket stitched by hand, filled with poly filling adding a hanging loop and hot fix crystals. The filigree In the hoop designs are appliques and again I appliqued them onto felt, cut a backing of the same felt, blanket stitched by hand, filled with Poly filling, added a loop and hot fix crystals. The applique fabric I used was both satin and taffeta.

    My little Koala and Kangaroo were done using this method as well, they were Australian animal Applique designs from Designs in Stitches : http://www.designsinstitches.com/Aussie_Appliques.htm I added a little holly design to make them more like Christmas.

    You can make any design into an ornament by following this method.....Your imagination is the limit!

    Default More Ornaments I have made

    Here are some more pictures of recent ornaments I have made. I first started making Christmas Ornaments for my own tree and then for family in the 1980's mostly using McCalls patterns then. I still have the very first ones I ever made.

    Oh my gosh, thank you so much for the information on the embroidered ornaments. All of your ornaments are beautiful, you do excellent work. Your family members are blessed to receive these and hopefully they will become keepsakes.
