    I haven't tried this for the dog bone pillows but---several years ago a friend of mine taught a pillow-making class. Her recommendation was essentially to make a quilting "sandwich and then sew the pillow together. It makes a smoother surface and takes less stuffing. I wonder, too, about making these from prequilted fabric. I have leftovers that I think I'll try!

    I would just attach the 6th verse. It explains the pillow and I can't imagine you're a pain!

    I think the idea is great -- thank you for sharing, an idea for my gifts next Christmas for my relatives and maybe even my quilting bee members!!

    There is another pattern online that uses 4 sections instead of 3. Anyone have experience with these 2 designs and have a preference?
