This first site is a cute---and easy --paper-pieced Santa ornament. The second is a mitten made from leftover batting scraps. I've made them and Katrina's origami one and all were well received

Here are the instructions from one made from recycled greeting cards: http://www.scoutiegirl.com/2009/12/t...lillyella.html You can cut the circles without the special cutter, but it's a little more work and less accurate. Rough edges can be hidden under some glitter. You can make them bigger, and if you want, you can leave one segment held together with ribbon through punched holes, and it makes a box for a small gift.

Another greeting card idea is a box with a lid. Half the card (back of card) is folded to a box. The front of the card with the design of the card is folded to be the lid. They are cute for gift cards and special little candy boxes.

Yo Yo's (I know them as Suffolk Puffs) make very good Christmas Decorations. Google Yo Yo Christmas Decorations and click on "Images" and see all the wonderful things people have done with these circles of fabric. I use three puffs made with Christmas print and join them around the outside edge to form a triangle, sometimes I use string beads along this edge, attached a ribbon loop to the top, then add some dangle bead work to the bottom. These also look very good using cream satin with gold beadwork.

Pete,
Did you happen to see this paper pieced Santa ornament link that was going around last year?

I ended up making 4! They're so cute and make great gifts, too.
