Colorful Stuff, story time
Hello my Quilting friends. I noticed that July was the last month that I posted lol. I saw a crochet Mandala and off I went to pursue it. I took a break from La pass, the last quilt I was working on. I needed this break lol. Anyway I took three months to crochet this Mandala and then I went on to Persian Tiles. Normally, I prefer to knit, but some things just have to be crochet and here is a story.
40 years ago, My MIL crochet this king size quilt. She used double yarn and a very simple square pattern ( just something to keep her busy and happy) Well, no one used it because it was so heavy and cumbersome. It was passed on to me and I was on the verge of donating it. I started to look at the yarn and saw how very colorful it was. I decided to rip it all out, and roll into balls, it took days. I filled two king size plastic containers with yarn. Then I download the videos and pdf's of the mandala. It has taken 3 months to finish it and it so inspired me that I worked on it everyday and never got tired of working on it.
I am posting some pics of it and the Persian Tiles (I am currently finishing that one) I have just enough yarn left to finish the Persian Tile. I am presently sewing it together and then the border and all the yarn will be used up and we still have her memory of it and now Everybody want it lol....

The top two rows of the persian tiles are already sewed together and I will finish the sewing up today and hopefully I will get an idea for the border as I do not want to make the triangles to go in the sides lol.....can you imagine all those colors?
