how about some nachos, velvetta cheese in the crockpot, and a can of rotel, a little bit of milk, you might brown some sausage and have slices of jalapenos for those who like them, one big bag of nacho chips, plastic bowls and use thier fingers. always a winner with every crowd.

Maryse, whenever I have company I serve:
Lobster thermidore, caviar, Chateaubriand, pommes dauphine, snow peas, asparagus with bearnaise sauce, tomato and basil sorbet to freshen the palate, and then either Croquembuche or Gateaux St Honore.
Really, truly, honestly.
I will PM the recipes if you like

Really, truly, honestly Rainy Day you are joking!!! If you're serious I'm moving to Melbourne!

Marsye, your idea sounds great, but you could grab a couple of cooked chooks, a few french sticks, and have hot chicken and mayo rolls. Reasonably cheap and easy too.

No, that wont do...eat locally grown....squirrel stew is always a big hit. some prefer baked groundhog. My favorite has always been stewed rabbit and dumplins.....Of coarse I guess it could depend on how much you enjoy the company....hehehe

We're having people visit too. I'm making a big batch of sloppy joe meat (made with Prego spaghetti sauce) and going to serve it on cheese topped french sandwich rolls from our local grocery store. I'm not sure how many meals I'm making so I'll have the huge size Stauffer's lasagna in the freezer just in case. I am stocked up with chips and lots of pop too.
