We (DH, DS, and I) had sort of a contest going to see who would be able to pet it first. I "won" - but DS said I cheated by grabbing it (well - it got brave enough to push my hand out of the way of the food bowl to eat the chow!) to pet it. Originally Posted by lab fairy

My vet charged $65 and 5 extra for the pain shot. When we adopted another kitten we had to go to a low cost neuter clinic in our area. We took her in the early morning and she had her surgery and her rabies shot all for 30.oo.

That's horrible! I think few animals would receive the needed altering. Try your local animal shelter or SPCA. The point is not to make the vet rich, it's to protect our anmals. Highway robbery!! :(
