My wife and I both have permits to carry guns and I never leave the house with out my S&W .40 on my hip.

But it is nice to know snakes do not do wasp spray because I keep killing baby Copperheads in my back yard. I can not figure out where they are coming from but my puppers love to play in the yard. And the real weird part is I am in the city!!

To my way of thinking, if I was a licensed gun owner and shot someone who was putting my life in danger, in all likelihood I would not be prosecuted.

You don't have to have a license to own wasp spray or a baseball bat or an iron skillet or a knife (the list can go on and on). I don't think I'd be prosecuted if I used any of those items to defend my life even though I used it for a purpose for which it was not intended.

The potential robber, killer, rapist, etc. deserves whatever he gets.

The way that the law reads here is that as long as they are determined as a threat then you are free to drop them. But you can not shoot them if they are fleeing, they have to be facing you and a threat when you pull the trigger.

Our instructor who was a State Trooper told us never to pull the gun unless you are going to pull the trigger, it is not show and tell. And you always shoot to kill.

Unfortunately the times today almost require you to carry a weapon. I remember when I was growing up we never locked our house and nobody ever bothered anything. The neighbors would rat you out to your folks if you were acting up, and if you were at a friends house and misbehaved their mom was free to spank you and send you home for another spanking.

I really miss those days.........

I don't like guns but asked hubby for a baseball bat and a machete. He asked me how I could defend myself- I told him- I work hard for a living and there's no piece of turd going to take what I've worked for. I will smash the windshield of their getaway vehicle and slash his tires. Don't get in arms reach or- off with his head!

And I don't have a violent bone in my body.

I do have a "When Murder becomes legal" list in my head. There are 3 people on it. It keeps me level headed when faced with the challenges of dealing with stupid people and idiots. So don't tick me off. (I do share my list, if needed.)
