Same here. I went through Craiglist, estate sales. If I found anything on Craiglist they wanted way too much (almost the same price they paid for retail). At the estale sale that I went to last Thursday, they had two Singer (threadle) machines with not in too good a shape tables; one of the machines had a broken belt; and they wanted over $ 100.00 for each.
Just have to keep looking, I guess.

The price was $30.00. The lady selling it said 'I could have asked more, but I didn't want to mess with it'. I said 'I was prepared to offer less, but when I saw everything, I'm perfectly happy to give you $30.00 for it'. It's well worth it, IMO.
What a haul for sure, wow........well worth the money. Just one pile is worth that for sure.....good for u.....I have to post on craigslist every day our apt. complex and I think when in there I will start looking, afterall I am on it everyday to post, right.....

I search for 'sewing' and look through those ads and then I change the search to 'quilting'. Good luck.

I look every day. I told my friends that I'm on a 'fabric diet'. After seeing my haul, one of my quilt buddies said 'I thought you were on a fabric diet'? I said 'I got hungry'.[/quote]

    I'm hungry too!!!! lol
