It's the voices, I tell you. They make me do it. When the directions say do it like this, they always say do it like that! I think creativity is what keeps me from being certifiable! Or maybe I really am and "they" just keep telling me I'm not!!!!

Ok, I can't let this go by! This kinda thing always comes outta people who don't know real crazy!
Say, you know, a padded cell sounds good. As much as I fall down, it would be useful. Do you think they deliver? Who would I call for that? I know, I'll call the State nut house and ask "can I have a padded cell delivered?" I bet I get one quick!

Silliness aside, I've always believed that all artists are Manic Depressives( yes they who know these things call it something else these days). You have bouts of frenzied creation followed by "writers block"--a lack of inspiration. And this goes in cycles--up, down, up down. Or I could just be nuts! People have wondered. However, I've seen some real psychos . We all don't qualify, unless one morning you discover you seam ripper's got blood on it and your DH is missing.

I once had a friend tell me I was weird and I said "I take that as a compliment" and she said "I meant it as one". I think a little bit of crazy is ok. Makes us more fun.

EXACTLY.....its all psycho-babble. I'm sure we are all as sane as can be. Its just some days are saner then others

This was a well know fact in art school. Usually a student and teacher would drive themselves for days to finish a project/painting/sculpture and then go into a mental physical funk for days after it was finished certain that the completed project was a failure and that inspiration would never strike again. Then the process would be repeated. Almost without exception at the school I attended all the successful students and teachers who did creative work - work which was not built on work or ideas of others - went through this process. The manic/depressive stages were more pronounced for some than others and some were under doctors care and some self medicated with drugs and alcohol. Some didn't.

I always had the feeling I was a liitle crazy, so it fits. Oh well
