We live in the country..we feed the birds year round....now I guess we feed the deer also.....they have been stopping every night at our bird feeder....but now we must move the feeder as it in my rose bed and am afraid they will trample the roses bushes..........so hubby brought home 2 bags of cob corn to feed the deer.....wish I could get a pic but they always come after dark.

Irish Springs soap will keep the deer away from your feeders. We put out corn for the deer too.

You need a hunters camera that they put out at night and it takes night shots. How fun:) We feed birds too, so far no deer:)

I also have had deer eating all my bird seed. I will have to try the Irish Spring to keep them away. They aren't afraid of people and come right up to the house.

Deer were eating all my flowers & peeing on my lawn last fall. I will have to try the Irish Spring. Do you think Irish Spring will deter the squirrels as well?

I would prefer my birdseed to go deer, turkey and the birds but it is those darned squirrels that ruin the feeding for me. My dog Bogey is great about running them off, but they are never far. I had two huge 40 pound plastic totes with sealed lids and those varmints have done their darndest to chew through them, too. Had to move them inside. I don't mind my birds, it is those varmint squirrels.

I just read an article that said to drill a hole in the Irish Spring bar & put string thru if hanging from a tree or drill a hole & stick on stakes in garden - depends on where dear are eating.

Aw, pretty! The deer stay away from my house due to the dogs. Wild Turkeys are a diffrent story!

I cut the bars in 1/2, drop it the toe of some panty hoes and tie it to trees around the feeders. I had some luck with Vick's vaper rub smeared on trees. The Vick's also worked for the rabbits. Guess they don't like the smell. I got rid of some ground hogs by dumping the kitty litter box "goodies" in their hole. The smell of Charlie perfume worked for the skunk. So far I haven't found anything that works for the possums.
