He has a bad staph infection and this morning talked to nurse and his blood pressure went sky high they had to call the Dr.

Now today October 11th is our wedding anniverary 36 years.

You can follow about his updates on my PDA. Do you use the PDA here on the quilting board, great way to communicate with others each day. I have met some great friends on my PDA, live chat and by private messages.

Also have met quilters at my meet and greets, quilt shows, shop hops, lunch, house and more.

You are my Quilting Friends and I enjoy chatting with all of you and some we have chatted with on the phone.

So sorry to hear about your husband, Karen. I'll be praying for him.

Retired, so long weekends all the time. When I worked it was a 4 day week so all my weekends were three days! When a holiday came around it was 4 days and I could hardly make myself go back on Tuesday most of the time. Love being at home but miss the social aspects of having a job. That's why i'm on here so much talking to all of you!

No 3 day weekend here - I teach school and Columbus Day didn't make the calendar, but ...
Both my grandsons are in Pre-Kinder programs - at two different schools - and they both had Monday off, but their parents didn't. So my newly retired husband had both boys yesterday. The boys are 3 and 4 and they had a great day together. I'm glad they got a chance to be with Grampop on their own, but JEALOUS that I wasn't there! :(

This will happen again in November when both their schools have off the entire Thanksgiving week. After his success yesterday Grampop thinks he's going to take both of them to the Children's Museum. I think he's getting a bit cocky!

    Heck no :( I work at a convenience store/gas station & we are open 365 days a year. I worked Sun. & Mon. I haven't had a holiday off in 15 years.
