Default Dieting??? Need someone to be accountable to...

There must be more than just me in this world that needs to take a few pounds off. My daughter graduated from college this spring. I have been taking care of my Mother who has Alzheimers for the last 6 months, so haven't gotten to take those walks and such.

So I am determined to get rid of this extra 15 - 20 pounds. If you are in the same spot, maybe we can help each other.

Please PM me and we can work on it.

Have a great week.
Di

I wish I just had 15-20 to loose lol, you are doing the right thing getting it under control now befor the number get s higher! Taking care of an loved one esp an alzheimers pt can really take it's toll. You need the time for your self if it is just at least someone watching her so you can take that 30 min walk, you need that!

if you can't find someone to watch her for walking time, maybe you can make a game of it with her and use a decorated wheelchair or other carriage to push her. that will burn more calories for you

I know a great diet...go to Amazon or Barnes and Noble and buy "the 17 day diet"...Today is day 18 for me and I have lost 12.5 pounds. I will now begin phase 2 for 17 days. Honestly, I am not a bit hungry and I have boundless energy for an old girl! I am a caregiver as well and it is really easy to pack on the pounds.

I signed up for the Weight Loss Adventure. Thanks for all you help. I don't have someone to help with Mom. DH is still working and right now he is AZ taking care of my Dad, who is finally moving into assisted living unit. When he is home he is traveling as he is the Emergency Response Leader for North Dakota. With the oil boom in the western part of our state he is gone most weeks. This board and my quilting have been my "grounders" for the last months.
Thanks again.

I have gone out with the wheelchair. But with the weather here in ND it is hard to do it in the winter, and it is getting harder with her physical problems to get her into the vehicle to go to our mall. We went out on Tues. and yesterday and today her body is paying the price.

You can go on you tube and type in Leslie Sansone. She does walking videos. Really good when you can't get outside. Hopes this helps.

I do the walking videos and they are great and interesting. You can get them at Wal-Mart.
