My grandma used to tat by the hours. She tried so hard to teach me but I guess I just didn't care to learn. So sorry now that I didn't.

Am so happy to hear you tat. It was almost a lost art. Brings back fond memories of my grandmother. Can we see some pictures when you have something completed (or sooner, if you wish)?

That sounds like me! If it caught my eye, I learned to do it. The only things that stuck are painting, quilting and I still do some crochet.....

Here is a big rug I crocheted about 20 years ago and a couple of my paintings.....
You have an amazing talent for painting. Both are superb!!!!

Let's just say I have one room dedicated for crafts, and another for sewing, and I still don't have room for all my stuff!

stained glass (none recently, but some pics are attached below)
beading / jewelry
painting (not very good at it, though)
altered art
ACEO cards
scrapbooking & greeting cards
diorama-making
polymer clay
photography (and turning the photos into art or jewelry)
macrame
doll making
making digital mandalas for prints/posters and other artwork
small crafts like ornaments, potholders, purses, etc.
learning to crochet
lapidary arts (sold my saw/grinder combo awhile back, though)
candle making (in the past - got bored with it)
soap making (melt-and-pour only)
mosaics made of glass, stones, gems, etc.
enamel bead making (not very good at it, though)
baking/cooking
gardening

dolphins & lighthouse - a gift for my dad. The dolphins and water are iridescent, but it doesn't show up well in the photo.

peacock - photo looks like it's not straight, but it is. There's a wood frame around it now. :-)

hot air balloons - my first project :-) (Don't look TOO closely!) LOL!

Thanks. My son is an engineer for the railroad and this was a retirement mancave gift for one of his friends who had been a marine and worked for the railroad.

I have made counted crosstitch Christmas stockings for almost all the members of my family. I'm working on the last one now- that is if I don't have anymore grandchildren! I am also knitting a blanket for Newborns in need. I have a crochet tablecloth that I made for my mother in law. When she passed away in 1993 her daughter gave it back to me. My first daughter in law used it to cover the guestbook table at her wedding.
