father was in korea
uncle in vietnam
My husband served 5 years in the marines last part of nam then went over to the pathfinders (don't know if that still have them or what they would be called today)then went over to the navy and hit desert storm and retired out of there after 21 1/2 years of service.
Yes my husband remembers coming home and getting spit on and all. I am glad that has changed now. Also being a military spouse i remember people shying away from you and i remember being very much on my own.
so thanks to all those that support the military now too.

My brother was wounded in Viet Nam. Now, he has cancer from the Agent Orange that was used during the conflict! Many of his platoon were killed. I remember a lot of those guys because I was a young girl at the time. My brother often had several of the guys come home with him when they got a leave. One of the young men wrote me several letters while they were over seas. I still have them. I take them out every now and then and read them. This special man lost his eye while he was serving his country.

Many of our grandparents and parents spent time in military.
My husband was active arm. Our first duty station as newly weds was West Point military academy. We went overseas which is where we met the right doctors and came home expecting our oldest son. We traveled a great deal as money would allow and saw and did things finacially we never could have done.
