My BIL's dr. told him to use stool softener. Never did know if he tried it for the wax.

Had this done as a kid --worked for me many times.
Did something else with onion pieces when had a cold.
People can laugh but remember we never always had thes Drs. and meds that are available now

We generally use Camphor oil (liquid Campho Phenique) slightly wamed for ear aches. Close off with cotton ball.

What have you tried OTC? Could it be an allergy? Sometimes Pat needs an allergy pill sometimes and that clears the passage.

We always use Sweet Oil for ear problems. Warm it first and use an eyedropper to put just a little in the ear. You may want to put some cotton just inside the ear afterwards. Sweet Oil comes in a very small bottle and you can get it in the health and Beauty Department at Walmart. Check pharmacy area in other stores. My Mom's Mom used it when she was little and it has always worked for us. I hope he gets to feeling better.
Mom always used Sweet Oil for any of our ear problems. Always felt good to use. I had forgotten about this until now. THanks for the memory. Question: could he have a sinus problem?
