Wow I have never heard of purple hull peas before. They say you learn something new every day..I just did and it is still early. ha ha ha I still have time to learn something else yet. See this board is so good for our mental well being..

Sounds so good. Lived in Big Sandy as a child and remember all the goodies along the roadside in summer. What good eating.

They are called PURPLE HULL CROWDER PEAS.

What time is supper? Cow feed is what nonsoutherners think. I love cream peas too but haven't had any in years. They don't know what they are missing & don't forget the cantalope.

I love purple hull peas. When we had a garden we would grow enough to freeze so we could have them all year long.
