We live in a very rural area and have a lot of squirrels that like to play "chicken" with vehicles. They are all named "Geico".

"When we were kids, my Dad would call up the stairs to us in the AM on schooldays...'Up and at 'em Adam Ant"... A cartoon in the 50's...I always said that to my kids and still say that to DH LOL"

I use that one every now and then to get my DH on the move. :)

My hubby likes to repeat the old Shake & Bake commercial where the kid says, "And I helped."

I use: "I'll be back" and "Talk to the hand" from Terminator. "Just do it" from Nike. "Make my day" from one of the Dirty Harry movies. "I think we're going to need a bigger boat" from Jaws. When the kids want this, that & the other, I often say, "I'd like to teach the world to sing" from an old Coca Cola commercial.

We also use lines from songs quite often but it depends on the triggering event as to which song. "oo-oo that smell" is one we use quite often.

When my husband and I are doing a project together and things aren't going quite right, one of us will say 'you call that cover?' and the other replies 'you call that running?' Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid... Always breaks the tension AND drives our kids nuts!

If things have already gone horribly wrong.... one of will say 'think you used enough dynamite there Butch?'
