My cat doesn't do that, but she does try to sample the lavender plant we have.

Anytime I bring a plant home, I've brought home a salad bar for them...

I have very few live plants in the house because of the cats. My last Cat Boo-Boo would puke if you looked at him cross eyed. I wasn't going to bring in plants for me to clean up after when he got a hold of them. Boo died and now I have "ol Steel Stomach" He might be able to handle this, but it would scare me. He does so love to take the pins from the cushion though.

When my cactus was still alive, 2 of 3 cats loved to do just that. Now they attack my poor philodedron occasionally and Phil doesn't hold up well under their attack. Any plant or flowers brought home is a salad bar for those two. They cry to go out but won't let them as I live too near 2 very busy, major roads where people don't stop for deer let alone cats.

I keep only couple pet friendly plants, that is to say, that Annie our cat leaves alone. I did buy pet grass at a Petco store for Annie and the Katie the dog likes it too. They munch a few leaves (it's like a mini lawn) and then leave it alone. I replace the plant container every 2 months or so. I notice they have been munching more since it's winter.
