I always order my drinks at McD with no ice and believe me I get my money's worth that way. It comes out of the dispenser cold and generally stays cold till I finish it. I have noticed that those 90 cal bars for Kelloggs seem to be getting smaller, but the calories are staying the same, what's up with that?

How strange!! Yesterday I was working on my Ice Cream
Cone quilt and had a yearning for something sweet, so drove
to McDonalds not too far from my house. I ordered a McFlurry,
and to my disgust it was to the top, but had an empty space
under it. About 2/3rds full is my guess, so that kills any of
MY returns there. Guess I should go to the grocery store and
get ice cream and make my own.

McD used to have 25 coffee for seniors, do they still do that? I don't go anymore for health reasons.
    -----------------------------------------
Yesterday was raining when I went in for my (reduced) McFlurry,
and got a Senior coffee...50 cents now.

if something like that happens you'll see more and more 'gouging' of the consumer... Kool aide anyone?

I'm going to try to wean myself off diet soda..have stopped buying
Pepsi at the grocery, and started on their house brand. Which unfortunately
    has also started tasting good!!

I'm going to plain old water from the tap..into my fridge through a filter.
Even plastic bottles are now considered dangeround.

I havent been to Micky D's in forever either, can just eat so much cheaper at home. Course my teens still go there once in a while, all the sandwhiches look smaller too!

My hubby and I have solved the problem of the fast food drinks. The only time we go to a fast food place is when we are out for the day. We take a small cooler along..with a few cans of soda in and some water. we have thermal cups we put ice in and it stays all day. I used to manage a convenience store and a large drink only cost 4 cents to make. Drinks are the largest profit for any business..be it fast food or a restaurant. In the sunday paper the food ads always have soda on sale..last week it was coke 12 packs, 4 for 10.00. Guess what..this chick went there and bought 12 cases. Everyone has a gimmick.

Funny this should come up now. Last week I noticed the tea machine do the same and pointed it out to the person next to me. She got coffee and it was the same. Smaller portions all round.

We went through the drive through @ McDonald's today for a Diet Coke & it was filled to the top. Matter of fact when I put the straw in, it flowed out onto the lid. I love their Diet Cokes. And all drinks are $1 right now.

The drinks are advertised as being a certain number of ounces, we just see small, medium and large, but if you actually check the calorie counts it is in ounces. It has been autofill as long as I can remember around here, so I just figure before it was autofill I was getting more than advertised and now I am only getting what I pay for. Besides I think the giant cup of sweet tea for $1 is a good deal and it stays cool in that cup and lasts all day. I guess if economy was the real issue for me, I wouldn't be buying my soft drinks at McD and would be bringing home 2L on sale all the time.
Now lets talk about the Starbucks that costs more than gold! LOL
