Ah, but cats have their moments, too.

Kittens at Christmas are so much fun, especially when they climb up the Christmas tree, tiptoe out to the ends of the branches, and gently bat the ornaments until they fall and break. (Unless they're quilted ornaments, of course.) And those are the nice kittens. We had some that used to play tag on the Christmas tree. I have to say we didn't have many ornaments to put away that year. :(

Another cat we had spent most of her time leaping onto the loosely woven curtains we had then, dig her nails in, then swing back and forth. She loved doing that. The curtains didn't hold up very well.

Not to mention the cat that got stuck in our kitchen wall. We were remodeling, but we still couldn't figure out how she got inside the wall. She cried and cried, so finally my DH chopped into the plaster until he got her out. What a mess. We didn't even like that cat, but no way could we leave it in the wall to die. A few days later she was under our bed when the bed broke. It was an old bed and the slats were thin and I guess they couldn't take it. Anyway, the poor cat got hit so hard in the head that she died. I guess she was just doomed, poor thing. (I think my DH felt bad; he fixed the bed up so it was nice and solid.)

Maybe a pet rock would be safest?

We have a picture of my brother (when he was about 3) where he is wearing one of those paper coffee filters. Also documented is the aftermath of his forray through the kitchen cabinet where he found the flour and the molasses. I'll take dogs any day. Ar least they can be tied up. CPS tends to frown on that with kids. (Don't know why)

Me too, now I'm into grandchildren. Both my children and pets did stuff, but nothing like those pictures.

That is a tough one............dogs only last so long, but then kids grow up and move away.
