I wish it whould rain so I could complain about the Humidity. Now I understand my son's comment of dry heat. Of course, he lives in Phoenix and I live on the Gulf coast. We had two minutes of rain in the last week. The concrete didn't even get wet.

We moved from AZ - 81 to 105 today - to the San Francisco area - low of 57 today. That's a nice winter day temperature in AZ. We haven't used our air conditioner at all this summer - just the fan a couple of times. We did, however, use the heat in June.

I am with you. I would rather be cold than hot. This weather, I don't stick my nose out the door. I feel miserable, my heart aches for those without airconditioning and our service men and women but.........it is time for cold weather.

Austin is a bit hotter than Houston, but I can certainly second that thought! Bring on the winter! And if we don't get some rain pretty soon, we're going to be in big trouble!

That is one of the reasons I moved from Texas after spending 20 years there. We sill have the heat here - but never to that extent !! We also get rain in the summer - great thunderstorms ! I remember a year when it was 0ver 100 degrees for more than 6 weeks straight in the Dallas area - URGH !! I think the older I get the more intolerant of heat I become ! Miss the people tho. . .
