Wonderful!! I was hoping they'd have a daughter this time around. I bet they are so happy. God bless them all.

I too was wondering what they'd name her. Not to much chatter in the news about her lately.
So glad everyone is healthy, and happy too.

Congratulations to the royals and your countrymen.
We've been watching how excited everybody is; I'm thrilled for the Mom personally. Every mom deserves a girl child!

I think they are much better role models then the celebrities we have in the US. What a lovely family.

And now my sister and I share a birthday with the Princess of Cambridge. The little one chose a great day to be born. I am also happy that it was a girl.

I just saw film on the news last night. It was lovely to see "Dad" holding George's hand as he was taken to see the new baby for the first time. Also nice to see "Dad" bringing the new little girl out to the car and installing the baby carrier into the back seat. It looks like he is so involved and they all really do look genuienly happy. Hope so! Congrats to the UK!

I agree. They don't have the traditional nannies and they seem to be doing great all on their own. Wonder what they will choose as a name.

    Elsie 1,
Happy Birthday to you and your sister. And many many more. My favorite Aunt was Elsie and I still miss her. So happy for Prince and Princess, I so loved his wonderful mother, and was a little worried as she seemed to be having problems with pregnancy.
Will be waiting for a name too.

Such a beautiful family. Congratulations to them and all of the UK. I wonder if this will bring back a resurgence of smocking? So few even know what it is anymore and I hate to see the lovely craft die. Made several dresses for my DGD and of course her Christening gown. I'm hoping it will be passed down for generations to come. They grow up too fast however, sigh.

I really like the name(s). Happy she's going by Princess Charlotte. So many feel they have to live up to their namesakes. Although I among other's adored Princess Diana, I'm sure Diana is looking down very well pleased. Not sure where Charlotte comes from but still a lovely name. Hopefully, no one will choose a nickname like "Charlie or Lottie". Having been born under the astrological sign of a Taurus, I'm sure she will be one to be reckoned with. She will surprise all with her stance. Mark my words!!

Her name is Charlotte Elizabeth Diana. Charlotte is the female version of Charles.

I agree with Jan, but I like to take it one step further. I think it is a good thing for parents to have at least one of each! I was blessed with 2 girls and my brother with 2 boys and he would not share (I wouldn't have, either!)
