I feel your pain, sister. I have two Beagles and two Labradors. I have a Dyson animal and it is still working great after 12 years.

10 years ago I bought a Dyson d14 animal vacuum that was the absolute best. 8 years later I had worn it out. (3 long haired dogs and a cat that shed badly) I bought a new Dyson d41 animal. It was a piece of junk and wouldn't pick up hardly anything. I complained to the company that the beater bar didn't even have a belt to drive it. She said it was supposed to be that way. I ended up trading it for a Kirby....which still won't pick up the pet hair. I'm now thinking of just getting a cheapie. I will never recommend a Dyson again. Quality just isn't there anymore IMO.
