I have a really good one I got from Wal-mart. It is a navigator.For floor carpet etc. 139 or so dollars. It is really powerful. Barny.

The electric brooms don't appeal to me. It's not bad, because it dosen't take much concentration to operate. However, when you need to fly, all you do is go around in circles. Even with a long extension cord, if you have a long flight, you have a sudden drop as soon as the cord becomes unplugged. My husband put a hand tied broom in the sewing room so that I can "take off" and not bother everyone else in the house when I get to feeling a bit witchie. I don't need it to fly anymore. When I'm having a bad day, I just get the broom and people leave me alone.

The best thing I ever did was to buy a decent vacuum cleaner. It is the smallest in the range but very effective. I had not realised how inefficient the other brooms and vacuums were until I used it. Now I have less respiratory problems, so I think the quick fix is not really the way for me.

I have a Rumba Robot and LOVE IT :-) I really hate vacuuming. I push the button in the morning when it's finished the job It plays little music like it would say anything else Mam? LOL I empty it and plug to recharge. I do this every day

i have a swiffer sweeper also and with 6 fur babies it gets used every day. the steps and by the door- always dirt n fur! love my swiffer
for bigger jobs I love my Dyson tho

I use my swiffer also on my hardwood floors and love it I also made a swiffer cover in microfiber and it works wonders. For my carpets in two small bedrooms I wait for Merry Maids to do they use their own vacuum. Love my swiffer especially with my new covers.

I have a big heavy vac that makes my back hurt whenever I use it. Thinking of getting a vac broom to replace it. I have one for the upstairs that I boughht many years ago for about $30 and it really picks up threads from the low pile rug in my sewing room..

I have hard floors in den, bathrooms and kitchen and use a swiffer with wet or dry pads. Micrco pad for it sounds like a good idea so I think I'll make a few from one of my micro towels. One problem I have is mainly in the kitchen as I end up hand wiping up lots of little particles when I'm finished. Would a swiffer vac work better at picking up all those little particles?

I got a Eureka Quick-Up after reading everything I could on Amazon. ( http://www.amazon.com/Eureka-Quick-U...3465622&sr=8-1) I LOVE it! It also has a beater-bar that I always use - it works great on the hard floors too. It's rechargeable so I just always have it plugged in when I'm not using it.
