Decided to share a few photos of another hobby I share with my DH.

These pictures are of a local farmers corn field.

They have created a maze in their 10 acre corn field. Talk about creative!

This first photo was last years design for the Alzheimer's Association. ISN"T THIS AWESOME!!
The 2nd & 3rd photos are this years. We took these last 2 photos just yesterday.

They have a corn maze about an hour east of me. I haven't been but would have enjoyed it a few years ago. Yours is awesome, looks huge.

Many of my family share your passion for flying small planes. My stepdad had a small piper cub which is now my brothers. 5 siblings out of 11 are small plane pilots and so are 4 grands. One niece is a stewardess and she is married to a commercial pilot. Lots of flying time between them all. Dad flew until his dementia got so bad we worried he wouldn't come home so he only flew with a buddy leading the way! He was 92 when he sold his plane to my baby brother.

My DH has been flying for almost 30 yr.
We own a Aero Commander (similar to a Cessna) 4 seater.
When we first married (21 yr ago) I wanted to get a pilot's license just never got around to it. And now, although I still enjoy flying I'm content to just be a passenger.
We occasionally fly up to the Amana Colonies,

they have a grass landing strip (scared me to death first time we landed there!)
We visit the shops, buy some unique gifts, have lunch at one of their restaurants and fly home.
    Great day outing!

    INFO FROM INTERNET....
Once a picture is decided on, a person, who designs corn mazes, will input the design into a computer, which will lay out the paths.

While the design is being taken care of, the farmer is busy tilling the ground and planting the corn. He will plant the corn in two directions to create a denser crop of corn stalks. When the corn reaches about a foot high, the corn maze designer will use a special tractor equipped with a GPS tracking system to cut the design though the corn field using a plow. The tractor and GPS allows the maze designer to cut an accurate path through the field according to the design layout.

    AMAZING!

Wow, those are cool. I don't think I would like flying. I am so scared of heights.

We have a corn maze here that has a different theme every year. Its fun but DH doesn't like it. He doesn't like that feeling you get when you're lost...lol. These people make alot of money here! They have other activities like a huge bon fire and some times a band.

Great job - it does take a lot of time and effort to produce such a spectacular site.
